SIRA stands for Security Industry Regulatory Agency, the governmental body responsible for regulating and supervising the security industry in Dubai.
They seek to provide Dubai with the highest levels of safety and security through the implementation of international best practices in security systems, services, and guards.
What is SIRA approval for a company?
The approval certifies that the company and its security services comply with the regulations set by the Security Industry Regulatory Agency (SIRA), which is the governing body for security services in Dubai.
What is the SIRA Certificate?
It is a very important document, for your CCTV design, and SIRA Approved Consultants ensure that the CCTV installation aligns with the SIRA guidelines, and is up-to-date with the latest technologies specified by SIRA. Hence, it is easy to acquire an SIRA certificate to install the security systems.
What are the different services we provide under SIRA?
- CCTV Plans (either approved by DSP or SIRA SPC Department subject to project activity)
- System BOQ
- Schematic Drawings
- CCTV Drawings
- SVG Drawings
- Custom-made specifications in security system designs are based on individual project needs.
- System BOQ: The primary function of bills of Quantities (BoQ) is to record work items for tendering purposes in the construction industry.
- Schematic Drawings: These drawings help engineers understand how different parts fit together and interact to make the product work properly in security systems.
- CCTV Drawings: The CCTV drawings provide video camera placement which captures and transmits videos to either a private network of monitors for real-time viewing or to a video recorder for later reference.
- SVG Drawings: Scalable Vector Graphic (SVG) drawings and layouts for buildings for the purpose of fulfilling SIRA requirements to show detailed drawings of CCTV systems for every floor.
The biggest benefit of SVG drawings is that they can be increased and decreased in size without losing their clarity.
As per the 2023 rules of SIRA the Security Industry regulator of Dubai, will only receive applications/submissions for the Designs & Security Plans Section from approved consultants.
